I was introduced to the pottery world by a talented potter, Kristin Taylor and learned basic skills from her.
Since then, I have enjoyed creating my own original pottery, clay art and jewelry designs.
When I touch clay, my brain (small but it's there!) is filled with ideas and my hands work as tools
to express the positive feelings I have toward life. My pieces are influenced by the beauty of nature,
the good spirits around me, and Japanese culture which I grew up with.
I've been getting great inspiration from wonderful, nature loving artists like Allison C. Severance and James Smith.
By learning from them, I'm enjoying the process of deepening my knowledge and skills, enabling me to bring the
best out of a chunk of clay.
When that chunk of clay becomes a piece which brings a smile to people's faces, my heart smiles and
I have a great feeling of being the happy potter/artist that I have always wanted to be!
